Every single article I've found about Easy Access seems to indicate that we must touch the remote computer at least once to enable Easy Access before we can access it without a password.Īm I missing something? Because it seems like we're looking at a LOT of physical work to get this up and running.Ī search for "easy access policy" had no relevant results, but if anyone can suggest more relevant search terms, be my guest. I'd thought to maybe enable Easy Access via policy (teamviewer, not GP - although if it's a simple registry key I could do that too), but I can't seem to find a relevant policy.

We just purchased Teamviewer and need to deploy it for unattended access to about 450 remote devices in 8 buildings across our county. It seems bizarre to me that such a tool can't be bundled into the MSI, but there it is. If the user tries to open the client, they just get an ID number, no password, and no option for unattended access. You can set the password when you create the host settings, and just not give that PW out to anyone but IT staff. EDIT: Some fifteen minutes after asking this, I came across this link, which describes using the Assignment Tool to automatically enable Easy Access. Why not roll out Teamviewer Host with custom settings.
